End of Year Sport Club Highlight: Rowan Equestrian
--> Most people know about Rowan Campus Rec’s many traditional sport clubs like basketball, baseball, and soccer, but we have always been open to accepting new and unique clubs. One of our most popular unique clubs is Rowan University Equestrian! Beginning in 2012, the Rowan University Equestrian Team (RUET) offers a competitive and fun window into the world of horseback riding and the entire Equestrian field. Although the team does participate in competitions, they are also open to all “horse enthusiasts” and hope to introduce new people to equestrian. Competitive equestrian is a very broad sport with dozens of different competitions under its umbrella. Competitions range from jumping hurdles to judged trots based on the style and control of the horse's walk. Rowan Equestrian has found a specific style and in a few short years since they’ve started, they built a great program. Most Rowan riders compete in the Hunter Seat or English style. Competing in
